We have full color projection in HANEDA setup! In time multiplexing method one of three laser diodes is turned on only precisely during single displayed frame. It means that we achieved synchronization between calculation engine, display engine and laser diodes driver at level single milliseconds! Photos of images in screen and AR modes:
Today we successful achieved UltraHD – 4k display resolution from embedded system. Our embedded system is ultra low power device. It consumes no more than 15W and is able to calculate and display holograms in quasi-real time. That results allow us to display and control each frame with frame rate 60Hz.
The reduction of optical aberrations of the SLM has led to the best possible quality of displayed images, which is now only limited by the physics. This is referred to as “diffraction-limited imaging”. As a result we have achieved extremely high agreement between the numerical simulations and experimental projections.
The successful measurement and cancellation of the thermal effects affecting the performance of the SLM was executed in the Project. This leads to improved fidelity of the intensity patterns projected by the holographic display setup. This milestone will help us improve the image calibration routines for near-eye vision.
